Weekly Diary

From the 1st Monday to the 2nd Monday of 2016

Even though Mondays make everyone to feel tired, bored, and sleepy
(in my case, I feel hopeless and tragic), the very first Monday
and the second one of 2016 weren't too bad to start for me.

It was because my best friend visited me for a week to spend some times together!
We've been besties for about 6 years now.
Ever since we became friends in the Philippines, where I had my middle school life,
we kept on contacts no matter where we were.
She's basically like my sister now.

Aside from late night chats, pointless jokes, reading books for hours without
going out cause it's cold, and girls' pamper sessions,
we did many other things that were worthy to take photos.

And I'm going to share the footage of what I and my bff did for a week.
(WARNING: most them are food, food, food, and food.)

We chatted and chatted over plenty of stuffs while munching on these
tasty dishes. Aside from carbonara and fried chicken, we ate some ice cream,
pizza, chips, and other snacks along with drinks!
I was so full by the end of the day, but wasn't guilty somehow.

On the next day, I and all the girls including my sisters, went to the art exhibition.
Among all the exhibitions, we chose the one called 'From Picasso To Francis Bacon'.
It was about the modern art & artists who started the new art movements.
I was so thrilled to finally see Toulouse Lautrec's works.
Even though we weren't allowed to take photos inside, I would remember some
amazing and wonderful works of those modern artists.

Perks of having foodie friends like you.
And another perks when your bff's bff is your bff.

My squad is actually made of 4 girls, including me.
I and other two were total strangers, but we became besties
simply becuase their besties were my besties!!!

By the way, that pizzas were amazing.
All three different kinds each of us ordered were really fresh and delicious.
As a pizza person, I'm now craving this as I write about it.

Of course, we needed to have sugary desserts.
I brought them to the churros place where I go often with my family.
I mean, who doesn't like warm crispy cinnamon goodness with chocolate?

On Friday, we decided to stay at home with family.
As an ambivert, who loves to spend some times outside, I felt like I then needed
to take time to relax at home with some books and warm cozy socks.

In the afternoon, My mom brought all of us to the local market to shop groceries.
When we came back, we decided to make our own korean dumplings!
None of us were pro at this, but it brought so much childhood memories and
laughter as we covered our hands with the flour.

We ate all of the dumplings right away because we were starving after
all those dumpling-making works and chats.
My mom cooked them in two ways- steaming & frying.
Both types of the dumplings were sooooo tasty that we kept on saying
that we should literally sell them out to the people.

On the weekend, we headed out to just walk around and to have some more chats.
Well, we all know that chatting for a week is never enough for teen girls.

This instagram-worthy looking dessert here is called 'Bingsoo' in Korea.
It is a chocolate version of it, shaved ice covered with everything chocolatey
and topped with notorious whipped cream. (aka, calories overload)

I've had such a great week with my best friends.
Since we all leave really far from each other, it was so lovely to hang out with them.
This kind of friendship taught me to overcome the distance
and strengthen the trust on each other.
So thankful to have my three girls who are now like actual sisters!

Hope you will have the best quality time with your best friends this year,
Bye!
